Freeski movie Slav and Friends by Simon Bartik

Slav and Friends will be the third episode of a short freeski flick by Czech Freeski Team member Simon Bartik. It will show talents of Czech and international freestyle skiers. Come and join us on a journey to the mountains, snowparks, and streets.

What is it about?

First episode called Slav in America was filmed in spring 2018 in Colorado and California, because of Simon's invitation to Level 1 Superunknown shoot. 2019’s project Slav 2 had more guest featurings and tried to show the whole season in Europe and summer ski trip to the United States. Many different snowparks, creative night neon segment, some powder or wannabe national geographic shots, you could see it all. It featured many amazing skiers from all around the world - Freeride World Tour winner Markus Eder, style master Kai Mahler, World champion McRae Williams, X Games halfpipe champ Alex Ferreira and also the Czech talents such as rocknrolla Daniel Hanka, Vojta Břeský or Matěj Švancer.

Slav and Friends will continue the legacy of the previous movies - show you that even small countries are capable of producing good skiers and quality video content. Main goal is to show people fun and to motivate them to try freestyle skiing or produce start their own projects as well. 

The first screening of Slav and Friends will take place in Prague at Freeski Premiere 3, an event that Šimon and Czech urban skier Tomáš Kroczek came up with 2 years ago. You can check photogaleries from the previous years here - 2018 a 2019. The event is free of charge and everyone is welcome. Slav will be also premiered in different cities and countries TBA. Hit us up if you know about a place where it could be screened.

How will we use donated money?

Skiing is an expensive sport and it takes a lot of work to produce a longer project. Crowdfunding would help us with skipasses, accommodation, filming, traveling, and other expenses.

What can you get?

What's the goal?

The goal is to show that not only countries with big mountains or long winters can produce a quality and fun freeski flick, motivate and inspire people to try out freestyle skiing.

Who are we?

Author and skier of the Slav trilogy Simon Bartik is a 4x Czech slopestyle champion, member of the national team and freeski enthusiast. Filming is mostly done by friends, but we also shoot with professionals such as videographer Tomáš Hudini from well known production Separation Films or Martin Bernard from Fullface Production. Riders in front of the lens are other Czech skiers, such as Vojta Břeský, Daniel Hanka, Štěpán Hudeček, Matěj Švancer and a number of international freeski guests TBA.
