First time I travelled to London to find a summer job when I was 18. That I time I lose my heart with the feeling of excitement. I followed typical social programme. I studied hard and worked hard. During that time I travel all Europe by all means. When I was 28 I finally got balls to quit 9-5 job, break up with my girlfriend, take all savings out of pallet, sell everything till last sock and went to face my biggest fears. Any moment since that if I day I will day fulfilled and happy.
I want to posses everything and rule entire world. Now seriously – I want to inspire others to stop putting off their lives and start to fulfil their dreams as I do. Those who do not get any of actions, I want to share adventures I experience on my world trip though films, articles and pictures.
My journey was so far very intuitive. I do not follow any plan. I travel as quickly as I feel it and where I am attracted to. Thanks to this I experience things that other people dream about. It is simply because to everything that I am offered I say YES.
I estimate that I will travel 1 – 2 years and visit roughly 30 african countries. From Egypt I will go to South Africa on east coast and want to visit Sudan, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Somaliland, Kenya, South Sudan, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Malawi, Tanzania, Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Madagascar. Back north I will go on west coast to Morocco through Namibia, Angola, Congo, Cameroon, Nigeria, Benin, Burkina Faso, Mali and Mauritania. This cannot be understood as commitment. Everything will be dependent on current political situations and possibility to get visa. It is Africa and everything changes from day to day.
Hitchhiking makes little part of my entire adventure. Apart from that I knock on people’s houses, sleep on crazy places, eat everything that is edible, try all possible substances, dance on weddings, walk unbeaten paths, learn languages, live with indigenous people, do not listen to authorities, sometimes I am in jail, try to hitchhike airplanes, milk different animals, at times I am in telly, sometimes I travel without map and prefer to ask people for the road.
Volunteering
I am open to volunteering and want take care for kids in orphanage, teach english at school, help in national park, or work in hospital.
Adventure
The most insane ideas always come when I am on specific spot. So far I got idea to ship to Madagascar, climb up Kilimanjaro, swim do Zanzibar, buy camel and cross desert with it like Lawrence of Arabia, hike active volcano, meet with president of Somaliland, travel through Sudan without money (international cards are blocked there), live in some African tribe, sail down Malawi lake, walk through Burundi, travel without map Zambia.
Adrenalin
I love outdoor and extreme sports and would like to try new insanity that humankind invented such as bungee jumping from building, skydiving, zip slide, snowboard on sand, cave diving or swimming with sharks.
Documentation
Apart from travelling itself in Africa I want to shoot nature, animals, tradition, cultures, food and indigenous tribes.
In year and half I spent roughly 10 000 $. I had 8000$ from my savings and 2000$ I collect through previous crowdfunding on Hithit after deduction of commission. The moc expensive was paradoxically for shooting gears which was 4000$ (Macbook, 2x Canon G7X, Nikon D3300, Nikon Coolpix P330, Nikon Coolpix S7000 2x Gopro and other). 2000$ for food (roughly 100$ per month), 1000$ return ticket to Bali, 800$ for accommodation including rent in Israel and Egypt to process shot material. 550$ got stollen, 400$ for visa, 300$ for 2 years of travel insurance, 300$ for vaccination, 200$ for sleeping bag and mat, 200$ for 3G internet and mat, 100$ for 3 passports and other.
