First impulses
We are surrounded by people with many talents and few ways to make themselves seen or meet each other and potentionally collaborate. We were thinking of ways to connect these people and give them that opportunity and that is how the idea of Trať came to be.
Where are we heading with this?
We would like to connect students of various schools and enable them to freely express their artistic talents. We are providing the opportunity to make new connections not only between students, but also with established artists, who will be our honorary guests. Another, less important goal is breathe more life into the cultural sphere in Pardubice as well as the unused Sirius cinema at the Pardubice train station, even if only for a few days.
What will we use the money for?
We are starting from scratch. No previous events, no basic funding, completely empty spaces. We need the contibutions you graciously send for basic things such as rent money for the premises, equipment for musicians, lighting (and the illuminator), a small contibution to the performers, at least to cover the travel costs etc. It’s a lot to worry about, but we believe that little by little, we will be alble to collect enough.
Once again, we thank you for every crown you send our way. In return, we will put all our energy into creating a perfect programme for you ?
What rewards do we have?
You might be wondering what T-shirt or bag to order and you are nervous because you can’t see any previews. We ensure you that rewards will be beautiful, but since we embraced rewards with the same philosophy as the rest of the festival, they will be created by young artists from all over the country, so we are also eagerly awaiting their varied pieces. It’s in progress!
Rewards marked with stars in the last line of the description will be available in several variations, so don’t hesitate to write to us which one you’d prefer.
Details for the curious ones
The name of the festival (Trať – track) is connected not only to the spaces in which it is held, but also to the thought of it moving to different parts of the country later on. Its also bound to our thought of connecting individuals, creating new bonds and contact on the notional track of our lives. We want to connect students from across the country and consolidate these connections in hope of them lasting for future cooperation. We would like to achieve that through debates and discussions with authors already established in their field. We imagine that with guided discussions, people will have a better chance of connecting as a group, not only randomly at the bar.
We are preparing a colourful programme, which shall include a commented tour of otherwise inaccessible train station premises, an art exposition, evenings of concerts, theatre performances and films. However, if you feel that the festival is meant for students only, you’re wrong! It is intended for anyone who is interested in art and fancies broadening their views on the current student art scene.
The Trať festival will also be following the Museum Night, which takes place in Pardubice on the 8th of June 2018.
A little about us
We are 3 high school students interested in art and culture. That is why we decided to contribute to the growth of cultural happening in Pardubice, because there are very few student events here. A great motivation for us is the incredible spaces – it would be a sin not to use them!
Apart from culture we enjoy wine, blueberry dumplings and summer bathing at Na Špici. Preferably all three at once.
