There is a lack of relevant data to clearly explain why the deaths of bee colonies are increasing. We owe them for up to 80% crop yields. Help us find out exactly what is happening to bees. Forsage - Using technology to learn more about life of bees.

Get to know us ?
A team of developers and enthusiastic beekeepers grouped as a startup that sees meaning in connecting IT and nature. This is Forsage.
We have developed a beehive monitoring system to see what's really going on with our bees. We collect and analyze data from hives so that we can understand them better and make beekeeping easier.
Imagine ?
No one really understands the increased mortality of bees. There are many unsubstantiated theories, however, there is no bulletproof data as proof. Information in the media is often contradictory and we do not know what to believe. There is a lack of relevant sources that would clearly tell us what is happening with our bees and what are the causes. Forsage is about to change that.
With the Forsage remote monitoring system, beekeepers know more about their bees. Scientists and analysts have valuable research data. By combining technologies and traditional methods, we want to make beekeeping more attractive field for the younger generation, while helping experienced beekeepers streamline their work. Thanks to your support, we will be one step closer to substantiated information on the condition of bee colonies and about what is happening in the hives.

Already imagining a sensor in the beehive?
Putting sensors in hives is a breeze. They measure sound, temperature, humidity, and weight. The information is then collected and analyzed on our servers and the results are presented on the web application.
It is accessible from both a computer and a mobile. The beekeeper can monitor the hive in real-time (weight gain, honey loss, bee stress, etc.) as well as see history over time.
We are continually improving our sensors. The pilot version of the new application will be released soon, from which will the beekeeper receive notifications with advice on how to best care for his colony based on the current state of the hive.

Why are we on Hithit and how we will use the money?
Through this campaign, we wish to raise the resources to support the research of collected beehive data. We have accumulated a lot of data over the 2 years and we need to analyze and process them. Afterwards, we will be able to provide independent information about the life of bees and answer a number of questions about their mortality in recent years.
Do you like our project? We will be very happy if you join it too. We need as many people as possible to know about our sensors. This will allow us to deploy more hives and collect and explore data even faster. Any sharing or support will help.
Thank you!
