We can eliminate sexual violence with a functional sex-education. Help us with your contribution to organise workshops for 3000 kids and to shoot another video.

It can seem that rape and sexual assault are not problems that affect you, but if you ask around, you will most likely find that many people you know are victims. Most of the time, rape is not committed by some creep in a park or dark alley, but can happen to anyone, man or woman, by someone the victim is familiar with - a friend, boss, teacher or even a husband. And more than often he doesn’t even he doesn’t even realize that what he did should be seen as rape.
The key is sex education. We should be teaching kids more than just how to avoid STDs or not get pregnant, but all that includes a healthy sexual life. We have prepared workshops for students in last grades of grammar school and first grades of high school. By working with relatable stories, the students will naturally learn what behaviour could cause harm to sexual partner. They’ll understand the definition of consent, and that sex without consent is rape. Additionally, they’ll learn how to react if someone reveals to them that they were assaulted. Instead of scaring students, we are teaching kids how to have a safe and healthy sex life. Educating students at this age is vital as it could prevent unhealthy sexual behavior in both their first relationships, and for the rest of their life. If we reach our fundraising goal, we’ll be able to educate 3000 kids.

We are active on social networking sites where we abolish myths about sexual violence on daily basis. Our campaign "When she doesn’t want it, she doesn’t want it" reaches 30 000 people weekly. Every week, we receive messages from victims appreciating our work as our activities have helped them overcome their trauma. Our first video was seen on social networks and in cinemas by over 180 000 people. By shooting more videos, we will be able to spread our message to an even larger audience.
We are Johanna, Katerina, Barush and about a dozen more volunteers. We don’t want to remain silent while sexual violence is happening all around us. We believe that through education and fighting stigmas we can create solutions for this problem in our society. If you share our beliefs, we encourage you to support us!
Besides regularly posting on our social networking pages, we also organise discussions, lectures and workshops on the topic of sexual violence and street harrassment. With the support of the US Embassy in Czech Republic, we are working on an exhibition ‘’The Face of Rape’’ in the Prague Artwall Gallery. We are about to launch a new campaign ‘’Respect is sexy’’ against harassment in clubs and pubs. And since we are young and reckless, every now and then we organise a beneficial party called ‘’For a World Without Rape."
It began with a Facebook post. Two years ago, Johanna was reading comments under an Amnesty International study of Czech attitudes on sexual violence. The study found that 63 percent of respondents thought that the victim is partially responsible for violence committed against her, based on how she was dressed, if she was drinking, and a number of other factors. She was outraged, as reading the comments section under any problematic topic usually does, and she posted her own plea calling out this victim blaming attitude. The post went viral and Katerina decided to connect her powers with Johanna and do something about it. They connected with Barush to assist with visual presentation of their efforts.
Follow us on Instagram and Facebook and share our posts. Share our HitHit campaign with your own story or why you personally think it is important to talk about this topic. Open the discussion about sexual violence by talking with your friends since most of the society still thinks this problem doesn’t exist. We’ll are so grateful for any financial support so that we can continue the effort of fighting sexual violence. Thank you <3
