The story of EBUU

EBUU was born around 3 a.m. on an unknown day sometime in December 2017. I was dressing my son in clean pajamas and I was trying to fit him into it. Oh no, it is small, again?! In my sleepy delirium, I imagined how I'd have to go to the store in the next few days to get him bigger clothes. And that he will only have it for a month or two. In a year, I run around the stores six times to get something nice with a good quality and a good price. You are not supposed to save money on kids, but have you ever did the math? I did. And that's why I know that thanks to the rental service, you can save up to 14 280 CZK on children's clothes in the first year!

So I wanted a service that would solve it for me - to deliver the clothes to me and then take it back. And since I didn't find one of those, I got into it myself.

EBUU and I have come a long way, we have won a few competitions and gone through the acceleration program. But we still have the same mission - saving families their time, money and storage spaces, while taking care of the most important mother - Earth.

 

Today, the EBUU is no longer just a rental. We also sell (and buy back) - clothes, shoes, toys, diapers, eco cosmetics and eco drugstore. And we certainly don't want to end with that. But we are limited by the spaces, without that, we can't move on.

The goal of the campaign

Our goal is to grow up and get EBUU out of it‘s small room to a store to help the people. We are looking for the perfect space in the centre of Prague in which we want to offer more goods, check in more orders, make a showroom for Czech brands we have a partnership with and also organize more (online) workshops. And who knows, maybe it's going to be so good that it will inspire us to open branches in other cities?

Open a meaningful store with us

We want to open the first meaningful store. A store where they will give you an awareness of what is good to buy and what is not. A store that buys things back from you within a year. A store that promotes local production and circular use of things. A store, which plans in a year: (1) Save you up to 15,000 CZK, (2) save the planet as much water as the Czech inhabitants would drink together in a year and a half (read 39 000 000 liters of water).

How do we use the funds?

The more money we raise through the EBUU campaign, the more carefree we will be and the more services we could offer.

For CZK 200,000 – we will open a pick-up point and get facilities not only for online workshops

  • For six months we will pay the rent for a place where you can go for a workshop, view and pick up the order, return the goods to us, and/or sell it back.

  • We will be able to store more things and offer our customers a wide range of children's and maternity goods throughout the Czech Republic.

  • Especially for families outside of Prague, EBUU will operate as an online support, where online workshops and consultations will be created and thanks to those, we will be able to properly start our Youtube channel.

  • We will organize a workshop day in Brno, where we will organize a workshop developing the topic "Sustainable since the cradle", where we will discuss not only our tips, but also the tips of the participants, we will have a detailed workshop on one selected topic: children's clothes, diapers, toys, stretchers/scarves".Entry to the workshop will be possible after registration of 20 people (for convenience), and the rental / acquisition day will be unlimited and without registration.

For 275 000 CZK – we will buy a wider range of goods

  • We will buy more products that can be rented in the first place – car seats, baskets and cradles for babies and more.

  • We will add a second workshop day - in Liberec.

For CZK 360,000 – we will open a larger pick-up point, offer an even wider range and longer opening hours

  • We will buy more bulky products that will need a more spacious pick-up point – strollers, cribs, changing bars, etc.

  • In order to give you as many hours per day as possible, we will pay another part-time for half a year. We plan to support someone from one of the labour-disadvantaged groups: a single mother, a woman after the end of her maternity leave, a person over 55, or a fresh graduate.

  • We will add a third workshop day - in Pilsen.

For CZK 405,000 – customer gadgets, playing and breastfeeding corner

  • We will equip the shop for the mental well-being of all parents, including a playing area for children and, if there is enough space, a quiet space for breastfeeding and changing diapers ☺

  • We will add a fourth workshop day - in Ostrava
