How it started

We produce wines from Pálava! We try to defend, protect and help all that remains unique in the Pálava Protected Landscape Area. In 2019, we took over the enclosed space of the once famous Venuše wine centre in Pavlov, which was operated as the so-called "Pálava Wine Salon" of Venus. Unfortunately for us at the very beginning of the takeover the cellar was flooded by water, but “we rolled up our sleeves” and at considerable cost we cleaned up the lift, lifted it and opened it for all visitors! In 2020, we wanted to continue sustainable development as the "Gallery Venus Palava", but now forcibly closed ... we believe you will help us as an Antivir!

What is our goal?

In the context of a forced closure of a pandemic, we are without sales, but we do not want to lay off anyone and need: to cover the necessary minimum wage and overhead costs. Thank you! Together we can do it! The aim of the Venus Pálava Gallery is a comprehensive offer of wine tasting icons of the Pálava Protected Landscape Area, pairing with the flagships of regional specialties in a stylish architecturally, culturally and ecologically tuned environment of the PROQIN PAVLOV house..

Details?

We are PROQIN - family winery and when planting new vineyards around Mikulov (Nicolsburg) in 2019 we took as a new challenge and opportunity also the closed space and operation of the once famous wine bar "Venus = Miss Gravettien" in Pavlov, which was modernly operated as VENUS Salon of Palavian Wines. Unfortunately, at the very beginning of the takeover, the cellars were flooded with water, but “we rolled up our sleeves” and we closed the closed operation and opened it last season! In 2020, we wanted to continue in sustainable development as the “Venus of Palava Gallery, where PROQIN PAVLOV offers selected wines of the best vineyards of the Pálava Protected Landscape Area for a glass with regional specialties, which you can enjoy in a unique atmosphere of beautiful architecture full of art by young artists and designers. "

... attraction during visits, tastings and presentations is PROQIN SCHOOL SABRAGE by Martin Prokeš, coach of many sommeliers contesting at the world sabrage championships. The official Sabrage Master of the Czech Republic for embassies abroad and world record holders slashing classique bubbles with saber or other curious instruments such as a wine glass or an iPhone, etc ..

Who we are?

There was "nothing" to drink - in the 90´s after end of comunisme during the university studies of enology, I missed the 

 

availability of true classical bubbles in our market. The solution would be to import or start our own production, so we are a family winery PROQIN, producer of classic sparkling wines from Moravia -  South Eastern part of the Czech Republic - by the method of fermentation in a bottle (méthode champenois) - see. proqin.cz. 

The PROQIN family winery since its establishment (* 2007) has focused on production in the style of creed - NON MULTA SED MULTUM = NO QUANTITY, BUT QUALITY ONLY. In 2013, their flagship became MATTHIAS PI.CHA. SEKT BRUT is the absolute winner and champion of the world sparkling wine and champagne competition organized in the Crimea under the guarantee of OIV, leaving behind sparkling wines and champange from 25 countries around the wine world. PROQIN actively cooperates with Mendel University in Brno on research and development of new products such as grapeseed wine oil and low-alcohol sparkling wines.

Martin Prokeš, winemaker PROQIN PAVLOV; wine economist MENDELU; seeking to pass marketing experience in the art of wine to new students of the field and to new winegrowers, winemakers and landscape architects at the Faculty of Horticulture in Lednice MENDELU.

Why are we doing this?

We love Moravia, Pálava, we love wine - especially classic dry bubbles! Family sustainable approach in all wine and non-wine efforts! Responsibility on the unique Pálava so that we stay alive (not only survive and not exhaust). Cheers! Together we can do it!

And we care about you, your health and good quality = healthy lifestyle! We will use the collection to cover wages and overheads in the current crisis.
