I want to race for my country. I want to win and have all of you there. Do I want too much?

They are getting closer and I am definitely not going to miss them. It’s my last chance to win an olympic medal. Help me try to achieve it. I‘m determined and ready to bring that medal home.
Last year it looked like starting at the 2018 Olympics wasn’t going to happen for me. An injury kept me from training and Qualification around the corner. Then it hit me: This could be my last chance. I started training like I never have before and now I am one race away from qualifying for PyeongChang. I feel and I know that I can do it. I can’t get these Exupéry’s words from my head:
„When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.“
You are a part of my universe now too.
My name i s Klára Křížová. I compete in alpine skiing.
I started skiing as soon as I learned how to walk. When I entered the Junior category I started working with PhDr. Pavel Šťastný who was, at the time, the most successful alpine skiing coach of former Czechoslovakia. I’ve gained a lot of experince in these seasons, I had my first accomplishments and the opportunity to collaborate with the USA and Canada National teams.
Now I am trained by Andrej Mozina who used to be the head coach of Men’s and Women’s Slovenian National teams and an assistant coach fot the Norwegian team. I am really lucky to have a history of Olympic racing in my family. My mother, Olga Charvátová-Křížová, was the first woman to win a medal for Czechoslovakia in alpine skiing. You could say that I was born to be a skier.
I could list all my accomplishments and wins, but the most important thing now is a medal from PyeongChang.
XXIII. Winter Olympic Games will be held in PyeongChang, South Korea. The opening ceremony is scheduled to take place on February 9, 2018 and the closing ceremony on February 25, 2018.
As you might guess, the costs of competing are about more than just participation. Training sessions, teams, travel expenses etc. It all adds up to an amount you donť just happen to find in your pocket.
This is the reason I turn to you. I’m not expecting to raise all the money but it would help me to know I am not alone in this. So if I start at The Olympics, I will mostly have you to thank.
I realize there are going to be a lot incredible skiers who also want to win but I’m not afraid.
I will race for you, as best as I can.
Join me.
