Our aim is to educate and extend knowledge in the world of premium distillates and to show people that it is possible to drink quality spirits at reasonable cost – to savour the tastes and aromas of alcoholic drinks, to learn how to identify them and to draw comparisons.  DramRoom degustation sets are gift cassettes containing 5 various samples, each of 0,04 l volume. The sets are thematically assorted in such a manner as to create together, and simultaneously, a pleasant simple possibility of degustation of quality alcoholic drinks by a non-traditional method. Each set also contains a degustation memo-pad for entry of notes from the tasting and also a card pertaining to each selected alcoholic drink with detailed information, e.g. origin, age, taste profile, etc.

How it all began?

We had just met at a bar drinking whisky. All of us in the project are not only aficionados of quality drinking, but primarily enthusiasts, so we did not just limit ourselves solely to consuming our drinks, but started enjoying ourselves by extending our knowledge to others and to expand their conscious reasoning concerning premium alcoholic drinks. After all, a good drink should in the first place bring joy and be a real treat in tasting. Thus we began creating a social media content and co-organized degustation. All of us, most probably, would want to do things which would be enjoyable for us, and so we decided that degustation sets would be on our chosen route.

What is our target?

To educate, respectively to demonstrate, that each and everyone can discover one´s own tastes and aromas in the best of drinks. We batter such myths suggesting that premium whisky, rum and other premium distillates are destined only for the rich. We demonstrate to people that pleasure from a good glass originates from its taste and tale, and not only from the effect of alcohol. We are making premium distillates more accessible. 

Why tasting sets?

Tasting sets offer an interesting alternative to big bottles. Not all people can spend their time or nights in bars or buy regularly new big bottles, in order to taste, or as the case may be, to make comparisons among them. Moreover, what is to be done with a big bottle when one discovers that it does not suit one´s tastes? A set is comprised in such a manner as to help you in your learning process and to expand your knowledge of premium distillates. It is a novel view of pleasure obtained by imbibing premium alcohol.

You may order a degustation set specifically for yourself, but there is much more fun when degustation is done together with someone else – 0,04 l of each sample are two “small tots”, i.e. two ideal samples.

A tasting set is a superb gift.  Xmas is round the corner. :)

How does a DramRoom degustation set exactly look like?

DramRoom degustation set is a beautiful gift cassette containing 5 various samples, each of 40 ml. Each set is thematically composed so that it altogether forms an educational entity. It can be, for example, a cross-section of tastes of a given distillate.

In each set are to be found cards which describe the individual samples. On them you can see a photo of the original bottle, read detailed information concerning them: primarily, a taste profile, in order to enable you to savour the sample and which flavour is to be sought. In addition, a set contains a degustation note-pad, where one records impressions and knowledge gained from the degustation.

The reason why we are to be found on the HitHit?

The start up of DramRoom took over a year for us. We manufacture the sets ourselves in the Czech Republic. Decanting is done from original big bottles. Thus it is clear why we needed a lot of permits and technologies that enabled us to give life to the project. Now all has been accomplished!

We have already the first bottles in our warehouse, so we are ready to expedite the first products. In order to be able to offer sufficient quantities of degustation sets before Xmas and to be able to offer them at a good price we have to order bottles in large quantities, and that is the reason why we set out for HitHit.

What do we have for you?

“The tastes of Scotland” - Whisky

The pack of Scottish tastes brings a cross-section of the most typical tastes which can be met in Scotch whiskies: from the sweet remote corners and fruity retreats of the gentle hills of the Speyside region, through the more intensive highlands, up to the harsh islands and smoky tastes. For this reason this pack is ideal for entry into the world of whisky and identification of tastes and flavours which will be closest to you.

They contain: Bowmore 9 YO, Monkey Shoulder, Tomatin Legacy, Finlaggan Old Reserve, Speyburn 10 YO.

“Tales of the Port maturation” - whisky

A pack with stories of maturation in casks formerly holding Port wine, which shows the diverse variety of maturation of one of the less known, but more interesting methods of maturation of whisky. The latter matures in casks after other alcohols, mostly Bourbon and Sherry. In this case all the samples in the packet are, either fully or partially matured, in casks after Port wine. This makes the whisky interesting for vintners mostly due to its sweeter and fruitier flavour, or in the case of smoky samples the stunning contrast with peat smoke.

They contain: BenRiach Tawny Port 15 YO, Talisker Port Ruighe, Tomintoul 12 YO Portwood, Penderyn Portwood, Finlaggan Portwood

“Discontinued bottlings” - whisky

This is a pack for those already acquainted a little with whisky. It contains limited or terminated bottling, thus interesting whiskies which are very hard to obtain. This mostly concerns stronger and more intensive whiskies, chosen from many backwaters of Scotland. Together they proffer splendid contrasts from Sherry bombs in the form of Glendorach through Sauterness maturing of BenRiach right up to peat-monster in the form of Bowmore Tempest.

They contain: Isle of Arran Bere Barley 2004, Clynelish 12 YO Friends, BenRiach 15 YO Sauterness, Glendronach 15 YO Revival, Bowmore Tempest 6

Fruit Liquors – Žufánek

Czech classic, meticulous distillers and an example what can be achieved in distilling. Compare various liqueurs and the manner in which the various fruits manifest themselves.

They contain: Plum brandy from oak casks, pear brandy from oak casks, Reine Claude, apricot brandy, blueberry brandy.

Žufánek – Cross-Section of Portfolio

The famous Žufánek Absinthe or gin OMG. You must taste it. The cross-section of the firm Žufánek offers us a look into various premium distillates and their differing flavours. If you are not able to find any certain alcohol in our offered set, then this set will surely stand in for it.

They contain: OMG (gin), Absinthe St. Antoine, Reine Claude, Honey Žufánek, Moroccan nana máta

Awarded and limited rums

Set of exceptional rum, selected from those limited or awarded at world competitions. This is what we enjoy most of the classic dark rums, sun-drenched and sweet. You will find rums of different origins and maturations, including the legendary solera system.

They contain: Flor de Cana Centenario 12y, Plantation Black Cask 1651, Santa Teresa 1796, Ron Espero Reserva Exclusiva Solera 12, Cartavio 1929 Antiguo de Solera 12y
