What is NOT  Imaginations ? ...

…this is NOT the festival of theatres. ...

...this is NOT many times repeated time-proven performances as "Romeo and Juliet  -30 years after" ....

Sad? Don't be silly... it is much much more :-)

We are creating new multi-style show. We offer great experience when viewers are on the road together with artists through various corners of night park and where they can meet another scene of amazing story. Our performance is being created and trained during workshops and stages with hundreds of performers during 8 days stay in city Košice.

These workshops are based on hard previous „adequate preparations“ according to in advance agreed scenario.

Imaginations are draging audience into dreamy and magical world of fantasies  created by aero-acrobacy, dance, live music, fireshow video-projections, collosal puppets, jugglers and stilts walkers...

Every year – another unique story

June 2016

We are preparing again rare project with new artists, new styles.

Our new story will be about 4 elements, about meeting with nature, about elements inside us... But it will also about handling the coexistence and harmony between us and our planet as our the last the chance...

We cooperate with top artists together with sportsmen from all over  Europe. We expect this year participation of french flying acrobats Cirq Évasion, russian chinapoledancer Jegor, italian Eventi Vertcali and spanish multimedial artists Insectotropics.(Combination of various styles on one stage together with projection and IT technology is definitely our great challenge). We cooperate together with our foreign art collaborators from czech non profit organization Art Prometheus. Excellent performances will ensure the theatre V.O.S.A., LVC, Decalages, Amanitas,  Kvelb, Aratron  Aspis, dancers from Košice based Outbreak, Bobalet and great  actresses and actors and acrobats. All these participants will ensure the unique atmosphere and experience.

It takes us full one year to prepare such event.

Due to the great interest of viewers and high art professionality project Imaginations has been included among major events during „Košice European Capital of Culture 2013.“

Imaginations in figures

6 annual sets: 6 various strong stories, 25 performances in 4 cities 

  • Length of night performance: 90-110 min
  • Stage area: about 1km2
  • Number of stages: 8-13
  • Number of artists annually: 80 - 100
  • Till-now number of participating artists from 8 European countries and Japan
  • Number of viewers during 6 years: more then 100 000

 

Why crowdfunding?

We have tried this final possibility last year and we have been successful :-)

"In case we do not obtain subsides in future we will not face such risk !" – and this year we do not obtain necessary state grant... So the End ?

Probably we do not have good mind to give up this unique project and draw back from this action,especially when city of Košice supported us and is wishing to continue in this tradition.

We are non profit organization without employees and without our own space. We do this particular project on basis of sponsor fees and grants only. All these fees and grants are not covering all our expenses needed to prepare such project . For now we are missing almost half of it.

We have prepared Imagination from the very beginning as opened and free of charge for every viewer despite administrative and financial severity. In case we will not be successful in collecting additional funds there will not be another Imaginations any more...

Therefore we would appreciate your help.
