Why are you asking for 1572 Euros?
We are asking for 1572 Euros to pay for printing a limited first edition paperback. We will be printing on 90gsm paper, matt-laminated front cover with UV relief spot varnishing, and with cover flaps.
Why should we contribute to your campaign now?
As a thank you to all the supporters, we are offering a 20 per cent discount on the paperback and the eBook. The eBook is finished and will be distributed immediately after the Hithit campaign. The paperback will be distributed in September 2021.
Is the editor a native English speaker?
Yes. Gerhard is a Londoner, born and raised. He went to a local boy’s school, where he took elocution classes for several years. After a career in the pharmaceutical industry, he moved to Prague in 2015. He has been teaching English in Prague for the last two years.
Why isn’t the book available as dual-language (English-Czech)?
Dual-language books are excellent for English-language learners. However, intermediate students already have a good knowledge of basic grammar, and a good working vocabulary to be able to tackle more complex texts.
For whom is the book intended?
Animal Farm is intended for English language students at the intermediate level (B1/B2).
However, a fluent English reader will be able to read the book as an ordinary, abridged text with relative ease.
How long is the novel?
The abridged text is just over 20,000 words, whilst the original text is around 30,000 words.
Where will the book be available to buy after the Hithit campaign?
We will work with distributors to ensure that the paperback is available from reputable bricks and mortar bookshops and the eBook, from selected websites.
How much will the book cost after the Hithit campaign?
The paperback book is expected to retail at 329Kc, and the eBook at 269Kc.
Where can we buy the book?
The book has not been published yet. We anticipate the book will be available in bookshops in September 2021.
